“Howwwww horny is your work?”

It’s our birthday! Fancy that! Help Brandon, Liz, Tom and Kyle celebrate JKP’s eighth year of published podcasting by stepping with them, awkwardly, into its ninth. This week’s show tackles recent gaming events MAGFest and Awesome Games Done Quick, then reels at the recent news of a 2020-bound Animaniacs revival and discusses the finer points (it’s a horn joke) of Netflix’s Devilman Crybaby. There’s a whole mess of other stuff in the mix. You know how this goes. There’s been eight years of this.
(…Damn, I should have said it was a horny joke. Too late now!)

“That’s the boobs’t part!”

Welcome to 2018, JKPeers! We had one hell of a holiday break, but these podcasts ain’t gonna record themselves. Unfortunately. Listen as Brandon, Liz, Tom and Kyle tear away from their goggleboxes to reveal newfound virtual reality treasures and recommend all of the games they played while they holiday’d. Then, after the break, we shift to TV and movies with thoughts on Coco and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the proper viewing order for The Room and The Disaster Artist, and more in-depth opinions of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. OH! OH! And there’s a Sonic Mania discussion! Yeah! YEAH! See, this new year’s already way better.

“Knights of Ren take bubbly sponge bath??”

Happy Holidays, JKPeers! It’s been weeks and days since Star Wars, Episode 8 premiered, but the takes are still hot. Join C-3Brando, Liz Fisto, Josshk, Obi-Tom Kenobi, and Kyle Ren for an hour and a half of fresh-from-the-oven The Last Jedi discussions, recorded the Monday after release. The twists! The turns! The porgs! Dive on in, and fear not– we brought enough green titty milk for everyone.

Background tracks for this special episode are from The Trotter Trio’s Star Wars: Unplugged album.

“Keep in mind, that’s taxable income.”

This horrible year is almost over, JKPeers. A new horrible year awaits us. Come, escape into a warm bunker of games and movies and trophy shows with Brandon, Liz, Josh, Tom and Kyle as they talk about Doki Doki Literature Club, Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, new and exciting podcast currencies, the second trailer for Ready Player One, Disney’s purchase of (almost) all things Fox, and Geoff Keighley’s latest version of the completely unnecessary Game Awards.

“Feig’ if I know!”

Pour yourself a glass of Santa’s good good milk and pull up a chair! Brandon, Liz, Josh, Tom and Kyle are here to kick off December with a hearty and unfocused back-and-forth about DC’s current successes and failures, both animated and cinematic. Plus: more Great British Bake Off, Marvel and Hulu’s Runaways, a long overdue Doug rant, the announcement zeitgeist around Mega Man 11, and the confusing HUD of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

And hey– don’t miss a very special email segment. Hwoof.

“You still believe in the moon?”

It’s a Thanksgiving miracle! Brandon, Josh, Liz, Kyle, Tom, Harrison AND Emily are all at the table this week to hold hands in the spirit of Turkey Day togetherness. If that doesn’t work, they’ll just have to talk about the potential of Rian Johnson’s all-new Star Wars trilogy, the untimely death of Marvel Heroes, more of Wolfenstein I and II, and the very specific disappointments of Sonic Forces. If that doesn’t sound like a lot, don’t you worry– this one goes alllll over the place.

“How long has it been since somebody got, uh, run over in a parking garage?”

SO much! There is so much and it is all happening! Thank goodness, thank the stars above that Brandon, Liz, Kyle, Josh and very special guest Orin from the Wrestling On Air podcast are here to cover it all, including Blizzcon, PlayStation at Paris Games Week, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and Thor Ragnarok. Plus: a big ol’ pumpkin pail of belated Halloween-ish emails.

“Those are purple, right?”

My goodness, what a couple of weeks. Isn’t THAT becoming a tired phrase this year? Well, Brandon, Liz, Josh and Kyle are still here to tackle the closure of Visceral Games (makers of Dead Space and a highly anticipated Star Wars title that we’ll likely never see), a very exciting Black Panther trailer, a minute on Saw Garrera, and Josh’s FREE seminar on how to save the entire video game industry and make ALL the money. Then, after the break, Liz voices some last-minute hopes and fears for Nintendo’s Animal Crossing mobile game, that gang dissects Neogaf’s big ol’ collapse, and everyone has a really very sincere and concerned discussion about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry, the internet, and everywhere else. (Halloween emails are in but on hold, JKPeers; we had bigger fish to fry this episode.)

“Oh no, a wizard made my head big!”

Boy, it sure is October! How did that happen, eh? Well, you might as well join Brandon, Josh and Kyle as they break down the following: Sonic the Hedgehog comic book news, Marvel’s two big New York Comic Con oopsie-doodles (with one being FAR MORE OOPSIE than the other), a bunch of bullshit about that fucking McDonald’s szechuan sauce thing we’re all already sick of hearing about, a darling little kick-your-ass game you may have heard of called Cuphead (plus one real quick minute of A Hat in Time), and– just because you asked so nicely– a few listener emails.

“It is incredibly stupid. I loved it.”

You kids like lawsuits?? GREAT! Because, somehow, that’s the thread you end up with when Brandon, Josh, Liz and Kyle share recent security adventures, furrow brows at befuddling Sonic Forces sponsorships, marvel at Space Michael’s secret SEGA history, clap for Cuphead, muse over MORE Hiveswap, dissect the latest Amazon-funded version of The Tick, and stare directly into the sun that is Jaden Smith’s American anime passion project, Neo Yokio. Plus: a couple of listener emails!
