“Wake up, sheeple!” -Liz Macke

In the last podcast of 2016, Brandon, Liz, Tom, and Josh say goodbye to George Michael, send their best wishes to Carrie Fisher, spoil and review Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, learn about Tom’s extremely sudden trip to Spain, and spoil and (mostly) praise Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

“What a great moment here at the Game Awards…”

It’s  time for JKP’s kinda-sorta-holiday episode, and Brandon, Liz and Josh have come up with new reasons for the seasons: Geoff Keighley’s annual Game Awards, new Hollywood best friends joining Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, and the latest news from Sony’s PSX event (including a new Uncharted and more The Last of Us). Then, after the break, the trio warns against playing the apparently unfinished release of Final Fantasy XV and talk about cowboy robots in HBO’s Westworld. And, yes– a couple of listener emails!

“He’s so pissed he’s DEAD.”

Brandon, Liz, Josh, Harrison and a sporadic, electronic hum come together in the loft to map out the week’s major upcoming events and “celebrate” the release of Final Fantasy XV. Other topics covered this week include motorcycle repair and maintenance, Dishonored 2, Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and Disney’s Moana.

“I want him to fill my book nook with glass baubles.”

THIS WEEK: Brandon, Josh, Harrison and Tom discuss hateful frog memes, BattleBots, deadly drones, handsome glass blowers, PlayStation VR, give some spoiler-free Luke Cage thoughts, and share some spoiler-heavy Undertale reactions in the wake of its one year anniversary.

“Is 35 the age where you reach your curious stage? And just have to start putting things in your mouth?”

This week’s show starts out somber as Liz and Brandon take some time to eulogize the late C. Martin Croker and reminisce over Careers of Turner Past… and, y’know, delve into a bit Great British Bake-Off and analyze a few Nanny Pixie Dream Girls. Then, after a quick break, Josh and Tom arrive to discuss Mario’s incredibly sudden debut on iPhone and the long-awaited unveiling of the PlayStation 4 Pro. PLUS: listener emails from some recent pic-a-nic associates!

“You will die of stardom.”

This week, Brandon, Tom and Liz launch right into a discussion about Stranger Things (spoilers for the first two episodes only!) and get hyped for the potential weeaboo appeal of Japan’s 2020 Olympic Games. Then, after the break, Josh joins us as we grimace at the new Batman ’66 straight-to-DVD movie, laugh at Metal Gear Survive, and tackle the big ol’ zeitgeist clusterfuck surrounding No Man’s Sky (and, of course, answer some listener emails).

“Lemme tell you about a little guy named Ray Parker. WAIT… Junior.”

Comic-Con’s a wrap! Let’s make that official with Brandon, Liz, Josh, Tom and Harrison as they give spoiler-free thoughts on Star Trek Beyond and touch upon Wonder Woman, Justice League, Doctor Who, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and, yes, Sonic Mania. Then, after the break, our heroes dive into the zeitgeist (get it?) surrounding Ghostbusters, get excited about death machines in Battlebots, and analyze medicine-sniping grandmas in Overwatch.

Oh– and we play another round of catch-up with listener emails!

“Don’t do it, stupid!”

Are you kids ready to talk about Pokémon GO?? Great! So let’s talk about soda and fast food instead with Brandon, Josh, Tom and Liz! Then, after the break, you can enjoy further conversations about the Legend of Korra team’s new take on Voltron, a creepy indie game masterpiece named Inside, the best place to find old game shows with wide ties, and the fully-Kickstarted Cannon Busters animation project.

Oh, hey– and we finally catch up on over a month’s worth of listener emails!

“I dare you to kill me, God!”

JKPeer Tyler returns to the show this week to celebrate the Electronic Entertainment Expo with Brandon, Josh, Tom and Liz– but first he must sit through a bit of chatter regarding Warcraft, Angry Birds, X-Men and Independence Day: Resurgence. Then, after a quick $$$ ADVERTISEMENT $$$, the gang finally explores every week-old nook and cranny of E3. All the major streams and press conferences get their due in a whoppin’ 120-some-odd minutes of tempered expectations and good-natured ribbing.

“Ze Libyans!”

This week’s show starts out sad as Brandon, Liz, Eric, Josh and Harrison bid farewell to comic book visionary Darwyn Cooke and, much less importantly, The Muppets and Disney Infinity. Then, after the break, we GUSH over Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, analyze Captain America: Civil War, vibrate with excitement for Overwatch and tackle some listener emails– including an attempt at explaining what a “Gwenpool” is.
