“What a great moment here at the Game Awards…”

It’s  time for JKP’s kinda-sorta-holiday episode, and Brandon, Liz and Josh have come up with new reasons for the seasons: Geoff Keighley’s annual Game Awards, new Hollywood best friends joining Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, and the latest news from Sony’s PSX event (including a new Uncharted and more The Last of Us). Then, after the break, the trio warns against playing the apparently unfinished release of Final Fantasy XV and talk about cowboy robots in HBO’s Westworld. And, yes– a couple of listener emails!

“He’s so pissed he’s DEAD.”

Brandon, Liz, Josh, Harrison and a sporadic, electronic hum come together in the loft to map out the week’s major upcoming events and “celebrate” the release of Final Fantasy XV. Other topics covered this week include motorcycle repair and maintenance, Dishonored 2, Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and Disney’s Moana.

“The moon is a harsh mistress. Now, who wants a mustache ride?”

THIS WEEK: Brandon is joined by Liz, Tom and Zack for patriotic breakfasts, floppy Simpsons, Doctor Strange (SPOILERS this time!), early buzz around Spider-Man: Homecoming, the astoundingly beloved movie Arrival, the short stories of Ted Chiang, the seedy world of comic grading, and… listener emails!

“I’ll wear somethin’ spooky.”

NX: REVEALED! This week, join Brandon, Liz, Tom and Heidi as they (finally) react to Nintendo’s Switch and the latest update to Animal Crossing. Then, after the break, we refuse to spoil Doctor Strange (but try to talk about it anyway) and clap for Overwatch’s new hacker, Sombra. Oh– and read a listener email about quitting your job!

We hope you enjoy the show and laugh with us. America needs it right now.

“I’m his favorite and I’m pretty sure he’s right!”

Happy sort-of-Halloween episode, JKPeers! This week: Brandon is joined by Liz (fresh from her trip to Ireland), Heidi (enjoying the innards of a months-old birthday balloon) and, if you can believe it, Zack (now sporting a magnificent beard!) to discuss poor comic shop management, unfortunate theme bars, comedy movies, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, adorable dinner thieves, British bake-offs, bad TV, The Fix, Ant-Men past and present, and Ninja Turtle origins. Oh, right– and a few listener emails!

“I want him to fill my book nook with glass baubles.”

THIS WEEK: Brandon, Josh, Harrison and Tom discuss hateful frog memes, BattleBots, deadly drones, handsome glass blowers, PlayStation VR, give some spoiler-free Luke Cage thoughts, and share some spoiler-heavy Undertale reactions in the wake of its one year anniversary.

“Is 35 the age where you reach your curious stage? And just have to start putting things in your mouth?”

This week’s show starts out somber as Liz and Brandon take some time to eulogize the late C. Martin Croker and reminisce over Careers of Turner Past… and, y’know, delve into a bit Great British Bake-Off and analyze a few Nanny Pixie Dream Girls. Then, after a quick break, Josh and Tom arrive to discuss Mario’s incredibly sudden debut on iPhone and the long-awaited unveiling of the PlayStation 4 Pro. PLUS: listener emails from some recent pic-a-nic associates!

“…and that’s how Mary Jane died.”

Whoaaaa nelly, JKPeers! It’s our annual Dragon*Con 2016 wrap party! Join us for three distinct conversations with this year’s survivors (including special guests from the Level 7 Access Marvel Cinematic Universe podcast) as we discuss arcades, animation, pro wrestlers, parades, little kid fandom, Homestar Runner, supervillain science, unsanitary cheesecloth, space sex schedules, zombie makeup gauntlets, and SO! MUCH! MORE!

Never mind the constant hum of central air conditioning. Pay it no mind. Move along. Move along.

“You will die of stardom.”

This week, Brandon, Tom and Liz launch right into a discussion about Stranger Things (spoilers for the first two episodes only!) and get hyped for the potential weeaboo appeal of Japan’s 2020 Olympic Games. Then, after the break, Josh joins us as we grimace at the new Batman ’66 straight-to-DVD movie, laugh at Metal Gear Survive, and tackle the big ol’ zeitgeist clusterfuck surrounding No Man’s Sky (and, of course, answer some listener emails).

“I’m fourteen! And an idiot.”

This week, Brandon, Heidi, Jenny and Tom soar up, up, and up some more for last minute, pre-launch No Man’s Sky chatter and an update on Final Fantasy XIV’s latest Heavensward shenanigans. Then, after the break, buckle up for a big ol’ SPOILER-HEAVY review of Suicide Squad– including a lengthy analysis of Jokers and Harley Quinns through the ages! You’re into that, right? Right. Great.
