Real time strategy games have taken us to numerous locals, in horde we’re off to a typically medical setting. Complete with, knights, dragons, princesses, and thieves. Only the twist is, this time we get to be the dragon.
The nameless hero drives, that’s all he does. He works part time as a stunt driver for the movies, works in a garage, and moonlights as a getaway driver for thieves willing to play by his rules. He lives in near complete solitude until he decides to help his neighbor Irene and her young son when their car breaks down. Based on the novel Drive by James Sallis, the movie is as sparse and to the point as its source material. Continue reading »
Ahh the humble demo, how might I sing your praises? Clever temptress, designed to lay out the best faces of a game to trap the unwary gamer or terrifying windows into games that should never see the light of day? With no sure way to tell the difference, I wandered out into the internet one afternoon, looking for a new game, and played a lot of demos. Here they are as I found them: lets all point and stare!
If you’re not opposed to reading your movies, these two gems from Norway are totally worth your time.
E3 2011 had a lot to offer gamers this year. Brand new franchises, a slew of triple A sequels, and a few systems to drop our hard earned cash on in the future. But there was one thing this year that genuinely surprised me, something that gave me chills, which I cannot say happens very often with most games or trailers.
