“I’m sorry, I had Taco Bell. It makes me mean.”

Pull up a chair and join an already crowded table with Brandon, Eric, Tom, Josh, Zack and special guests Liz and Dan for an episode that features improvisational doorknob repair, pancake content verification and the persistent hum of air conditioning. You’ll also enjoy some quick thoughts on Game of Thrones newest season, reactions to DC’s “Convergence” event and big time spoilers for Tomorrowland and Mad Max: Fury Road. (And yes– a few listener emails.)

I should have explained “room escape games” better, but I’m horrible at writing as evident from my emails. As I said, it’s a point-and-click game that you can find online. They play much like “Myst” with lots of rooms and puzzles. The one game I was referring to is: http://neutralxe.net/esc/elements.html

There are real life room escape attractions that started to become more popular in the last couple of years. In GA there is http://roomescapeadventures.com/atlanta/ which features a zombie in the room, and then there is http://www.urbanescapegames.com/ in Alpharetta that features 4 or 5 different themed rooms. I’ve done the “Escape the CDC” room at Urban Escape Games and it was a blast.

  3. Josh on Legend of Korra:

“Korra and Asami came out of nowhere! Did these two even know each other before the last episode?!?”

Josh on Mad Max Fury Road:

“Why didn’t anyone explicitly explain their actions? And more importantly, where’s the backstory for the third War Boy on the left!?!”

Josh watching natural disaster news coverage:

“Sure, there are hundreds of people dead, but if they’re so important why aren’t you telling us each one of their names? What about what they had for breakfast this morning? SPELL IT OUT FOR ME!!!”

    • If you can’t do exposition that doesn’t feel like exposition, you’re a bad writer. If you leave character development “in the mind of the audience”, you’re a worse writer. If you go “oh my god get on with it” when someone is doing a reasonable amount of worldbuilding (not necessarily George R.R. Martin describing food levels), then you’re a bad audience member. I’m sorry I have to break it to you that you might need to step your participation game up.

Some strange glitch turned every Youtube video linked in the episode description into the Mad Max “I’m not captain Walker” video. I watched each one in case there was some hilarious JKP joke hidden there. I was slightly disappointed.

The first time I saw that supergirl trailer I honest to god thought it was a joke. The part where the chick from Grey’s anatomy shows up and is all “Bitch I’ma pick out your clothes,” is fucking ridiculous.

Also the part with the boss is ridiculous

Also every fucking piece of that trailer is ridiculous.

Like it’s 2015 what the fuck is wrong with those writers?

Is this actually a real show that’s actually happening?

Eric I need you to confirm the realism of the physics of an airplane scraping a bridge.
