  2. About the politician dick picks… There is a guy here, that is a male hooker for many male politicians…yep.
On the topic of metal gear, I would like the studio that made the recent turn based XCOM, as I love the turn based MGS: AC!D 2

The worst thing about being a Metal Gear fan is that you can’t even disagree when people point out how terrible the games can be. I know they’re dumb. I know. So dumb. I still love them. It’s like an abusive relationship.

The e-mail theme song sounds like a bad trip.

    • I agree Aleksi.

The thing that kills me about the whole MGS situation is that Hideo Kojima has been saying he is done with the series since Sons of Liberty (MGS2), but i think every fan looks at the series as a undead horror in one way or another.

Tom I borrowed my roommate’s PS3 and copy of MGS4 when it was released just to be able to say I have played every version of the Metal Gear/MGS series. It was such a mistake! I wasted a day and a half of my life! OH GOD, IT CAN NEVER COME BACK!

      *cough, excuse me.

also guys Keifer isn’t the voice of Solid Snake, he’s the voice of “Naked Snake” aka Big Boss. Rumor has it that they will continue the cycle until they can remake Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (the MSX/Nintendo games) and then David Hayter will be back to reprise his role as Solid Snake (or hopefully they will hire somebody else since Snake will be younger than he was during MGS and beyond)

I think “the story of Dena (Dina?)” should be an ongoing series.

  6. Just to make sure this is out there-- the “new email jingle” originally contained an offensive word that has now been removed. The episode’s been re-upped, so you can now re-download it. Big time apologies to everyone. We’ll do better.

(Our actual new email jingle also won’t be five minutes long, I swear. April Fools. “Ha ha ha.”)

  7. Here is a couple more rules for the JKP drinking game. Take a shot every time Eric says “literally,” and drink when Josh interrupts himself by asking a trivia question.

The term for the error in speech the purple Gummi bear had is called a spoonerism. I could see how having to talk like that forever would be your nightmare, Brandon.

Talby, if you’re out there, could you post a link here to the Louie neck tattoo Photoshops?

  8. About FFXV demo: the gameplay is surprisingly refreshing. If you liked the gameplay in Crisis Core, you’ll like FFXV (which makes a lot of sense since it’s the same game director). Very action-RPG with an AI controlled team like Kingdom Hearts. There’s a seamless transition in and out of combat + exploration akin to Dragon Age / Shadow of Mordor. It’s been awhile since I enjoyed a Final Fantasy this much.

It might be because I’ve been wanting a good Final Fantasy for so long that I’m willing to overlook the character design and story if the combat/gameplay is fun. I’m hoping there’ll be Japanese + English subtitles to lessen the blow, too. That English voice acting…yikes.

For some reason when I watched it on UPF it felt like a new high def version of The Bouncer. So if it goes in that route I could be interested in it.

  9. The reason for Metal Gear replacing David Hayter with Kiefer Sutherland was because Kojima was using a technique made popular by Naughty Dog, which was full performance capture. Capturing the actor and the voice in one shot, instead of the old way to do things and capture the voice actor and then do motion capture with a separate actor. This is why you’re seeing more Hollywood actors appearing in games. Hope that explains a little bit. I did do the full performance capture work on the Last of Us, so I’ve seen first hand how much better the results look from capturing voice and actions in separate sessions.

  10. The ending to the Adventures of Bayou Billy is Billy getting back together with his ex-wife Dena. Unfortunately no one could actually beat that game, so no one saw the ending. :(
