JKP Bulletin: Late Podcasts, Guest Bloggers

July 11, 2011

No dawdlin’. A few things, right off the bat:

  1. This week’s podcast was recorded and is being edited by Tom in my absence, as I have needed some time off for wedding & life planning. Look for it to go live either Wednesday or Thursday.
  2. I know the site has been loading incredibly slowly for a great many of you, and I apologize for any frustration or annoyance this has caused. I’m just as irked by our shitty hosting as you are. I’m looking into immediate alternatives, but a full-site move (including the hosting of our podcast) will require a significant amount of attention to get it all right without any hiccups. Bear with us.
  3. As you may have already noticed, we’ve been getting the cooperation and enthusiasm of some guest posters who wil be providing new articles and perspectives in the near/immediate future. (Thanks, guys!) Look out for those.
  4. For your listening/viewing pleasure, after the jump is a music video of Weird Al singing about noted television personality Charles Nelson Reilly:

      • Harrison’s actually not that good a writer. He’s a funny, smart supergenius, but not that much of a wordsmith. We’re going to have him on the show as much as possible though.

  2. I’m actually glad there’s something Harrison can’t do. He’s one of the best prop builders alive, he’s always extremely funny and charming when he’s on JKP podcasts, and from what Josh tells me, he’s also great at countless other things too. If I found out that Harrison was also an expert level writer, I would probably have to insist that he rule a small country. It’s good to know that he’s only human. Anyway, on a serious note, I heard that Harrison might start working for Weta in the near future? If that is true, then Weta is going to gain an amazing talent in Harrison.
