Wow, what an exciting episode! The band’s back together, there’s a kickass new theme song, Brandon’s engaged, and Tom got a Kinect! My eyes are misting up over here.

Sad to see The Brandon Show: Starring Brandon crash and burn in it’s inaugural episode, but it’s all for the greater good.

  2. So Taskmaster forgets his past as he learns new shit; some type of super hero Alzheimer’s? Fuck you, Marvel. Now Taskmaster is 90s Wolverine; he doesn’t know his past but he can beat the shit out of you in twenty dozen different ways.

I recommend a Dragonball * themed episode. Maybe an episode devoted entirely to that Quasar show you talked about back in the fifth episode, they probably have enough material to support 2 hours worth of discussion by now. Janguru wa Itsumo Hare nochi Gū might also be able to fuel an episode.

    • The major difference between Taskmaster and Wolverine in this scenario is that, for Taskmaster, the memory loss is a conscious choice. He ultimately chooses beating the shit out of his opponents in twenty dozen different ways and winning any and every confrontation over remembering who his wife was or if he ever even had one. (Spoiler: he does.)

I feel compelled to applaud this latest miniseries for telling a story that involves major character revelations without actively destroying the parts of that character that always made him cool. You can skip this story without missing out on anything essential-- a benefit of his whole “willing memory loss” situation, since he doesn’t even remember this adventure after he has it-- but, if you’re interested in learning a possible interpretation of how his memorization skill works in detail, the it’s a pretty harmless read.

Also it involved an entire village of Himalayan Hitler-emulators, which I thought was pretty funny. Your mileage may vary.

Man I cannot wait to listen to the Ghost Dog episode! Although if you wanted a whole episode theme Ghost dog would only take like 20 minutes.

As a serious recommendation for an episode theme that could prove very bizarre you should take a scrabble game and dump all the letters in a bucket, bowl, or hat and then draw a letter out and discuss for as long as you can the first thing that comes to mind from the drawn letter once you run out of things to talk about the topic draw another letter. I think you guys could have a lot of fun with this idea and be really creative. Think about it improve on it I just thought it would be fun to have done first here on jkp

    Spectacular Spider-Man was FANTASTIC!

But that got canned because it was produced by Sony Entertainment, whom Marvel has been trying to slowly distance themselves from since the Disney merger. The weird thing is I hear they’re trying to make ANOTHER animated Spider-Man based on Bendis’s ulitmate version.

Which…is kinda what spectacular was in the first place…?

Spectacular Spiderman was the best show on TV for a long time. It’s too bad that it got cancelled because of the Disney buy out of Marvel.

  6. You know…if you guys really don’t want that Kinect and Dance Central. I’ll happily take it off your hands…

Is this really the most recent podcast? It’s been almost three weeks, it’s time to post another podcast.

    • Don’t worry, another is coming. Snow and tech difficulties really screwed us last week.
