Brandon & Josh’s New Pokémon Rundown, Pt. 1

December 9, 2010

Second-ever JKP video, hot of the grill!

This is part one of a series in which Josh and myself take a long, detailed look at the 156 new Pokémon featured in the newest installments, Black and White, which are slated to hit American shores in Q2 2011. Gamefreak is changing things up for this new generation of pocket monsters: only brand-new pokémon will be available during your first full playthrough. That means no pikachus, bidoofs, or mudkips until you beat the Elite Four. That said, these have to be some pretty amazing new characters to follow that surprising design decision… or do they?

Also, worthy of note: since editing started on this video, Nintendo has officially announced the American names of the three starter pokemon: Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. (“Oshawott?” What?)

Took a bit longer to finish editing this than I expected (try three months), but the other installments should take far less time. Stay tuned, we have a hundred some-odd critters left to go!

Comments, criticisms, and additional American name suggestions are welcome below!
